Participaint round two! This time with art partner Daniel Brophy and in conjunction with Hub City Revival
in New Brunswick, NJ. With two large black and white canvases shown
above and a ton of art materials, we once again invited the community to
paint in the murals. People of all ages expressed themselves, some
painting for the first time!

Participaint - Philadelphia
Participaint, conceived by fellow artist Joseph Valentine, brought community members together to create a 35ft. mural painted atop a black and white framework. As the mural facilitator, I assisted 50+ painters in co-creating the mural, which took over four hours to complete.
Book About Me - PCCI Literacy Day
As part of PCCI’s Newark Reads! Festival,
I facilitated a book arts workshop for K-5 students, integrating
literacy with art. For the workshop, students were asked to create an
artist book using the flag book
technique developed by book artist, Hedi Kyle. Each page or “flag” in
the book was created using words and images to answer a different
question about the student artist.
Answers to questions, such as “What is your favorite thing to do with your family?” or “If you could fly, where would you go?” revealed a little bit about the students. Once constructed, these pages contributed to a finished story about the student artist.
